THE NEXT PHASE OF THE ENERGY TRANSITION

The energy transition requires more than additional generation capacity.

Renewable generation is expanding rapidly. Yet adding more solar or wind capacity alone does not create a resilient electricity system. Variable generation must be coordinated with battery storage, transmission infrastructure, dispatchable resources, strategic water reserves and the demand profiles of industries, cities and communities.

The defining infrastructure challenge is therefore no longer simply how to produce more renewable electricity. It is how to integrate complementary assets so that affordable energy is available where and when it is needed - without weakening grids, wasting renewable resources or placing critical water systems under additional stress.

Why integrated infrastructure matters

ENGINEERING INFRASTRUCTURE RATHER THAN PROCURING EQUIPMENT

We begin with the infrastructure challenge - not a predetermined product.

LTI defines the required system performance, operating conditions, grid interfaces, environmental constraints and commercial objectives before technology is selected. Renewable generation, BESS, transmission, hydropower, water resources, digital control and productive demand are then engineered as one coordinated infrastructure system.

Technology selection becomes an engineering exercise. The relevant question is not simply whether a product complies with a specification, but how effectively it contributes to the technical performance, bankability, resilience and lifecycle value of the complete infrastructure ecosystem.

ONE DELIVERY MODEL · TWO COMPLEMENTARY CAPABILITIES

Technical depth meets international execution.

LTI combines the engineering accountability required to define and protect a complex infrastructure system with the development capability required to originate, structure, finance and deliver it.

OUR SYSTEMS VIEW

The value lies in the interfaces.

LTI engineers how renewable generation, storage, grids, water systems and electricity demand interact. The performance of the integrated system - not the isolated efficiency of a single component - determines long-term infrastructure value.

PARTNERS IN ENGINEERING · NOT TRANSACTIONAL VENDORS

Technology partners contribute from feasibility through operation.

LTI works with OEMs, engineering companies, software providers and specialist suppliers as strategic technology partners. Their engineering knowledge is introduced early enough to influence system architecture, product selection, Bills of Materials, environmental adaptation, lender documentation, installation and long-term support.

This collaborative model creates infrastructure that is technically optimised, commercially competitive, easier to finance and better adapted to local operating conditions throughout its lifecycle.

ENGINEERING FOUNDATION SINCE 1971

The scale has changed.
The engineering discipline has not.

LTI’s infrastructure methodology is grounded in more than five decades of practical power-electronics development, manufacturing, testing and lifecycle responsibility.

1971

Power Electronics

Hardware and software development, manufacturing, testing and industrial application engineering.

1999

Renewable Energy and Wind

Innovative electrical pitch systems for wind turbines.

2007

Utility-Scale Solar

Water-cooled, high-energy-density central inverters for large solar-power plants.

2015+

Bidirectional Systems

Inverter technology for complex automation processes and battery-energy-storage applications.

TODAY

Integrated Renewable Infrastructure

Applying OEM-level engineering discipline to internationally developed infrastructure investments reaching several hundred million US dollars.

LTI continues to diagnose, maintain, repair and test original LTI products installed one, two or even three decades ago. This protects customers’ historical investments and demonstrates the lifecycle accountability LTI brings to new infrastructure developments.

THE METHODOLOGY IN PRACTICE

Infrastructure challenges, engineered as integrated systems.

Each LTI project begins with a specific infrastructure challenge. The resulting project concept combines the assets, partners and contractual structures required to address that challenge as a complete system.
